Your best bet is to bring along a small backpack with a light jacket and long pants. You'll want to cover up to stay warm. I've had people visit who left the house in the morning to drive into the city for the day. When I see that they don't even have a jacket with them (because it's hot outside), I have to convince them to bring along more clothes. When they return, they always thank me for making them take warm clothes. They would have been miserable otherwise.
